THE GREEN HORNET

The Green Hornet is a 2011 superhero action-comedy film, based on the character of the same name that had originated in a 1930s radio program and has appeared in movie serials, a television series, comic books and other media. Directed by Michel Gondry, the film stars Seth Rogen, who co-wrote the screenplay with Evan Goldberg. Supporting actors include Jay Chou as Kato, Christoph Waltz, Cameron Diaz, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour, and Tom Wilkinson.

PLOT

Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the 28-year-old slacker son of widower James Reid (Tom Wilkinson), publisher of the Los Angeles newspaper The Daily Sentinel. Britt is an irresponsible playboy, but his attitude changes when James is found dead from an allergic reaction to a bee sting. After the funeral, Britt fires the staff aside from his maid and Kato (Jay Chou), James' mechanic and a skilled martial artist.

Britt and Kato get drunk together and, upon agreeing that they both hated James, visit the graveyard to cut the head off James' memorial statue as payback. After they succeed, they see a couple being mugged, and rescue them. Britt and Kato are themselves mistaken by police for criminals and chased through the streets, but Kato evades them and he and Britt return to the mansion.

Britt convinces Kato they should become crime-fighters who pose as criminals in order to infiltrate real criminals, and also to prevent enemies from using innocents against them. Kato agrees, and develops a car outfitted with several gadgets and weapons, which they call the Black Beauty. Britt plans to capture Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz), a Russian mobster who is uniting the criminal families of Los Angeles under his command, and whom his father was trying to expose. To get Chudnofsky's attention, Britt uses the Daily Sentinel as a vehicle to publish articles about the "high-profile criminal" the Green Hornet.

Britt hires Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), who has a degree in criminology, as his assistant and researcher, and uses her unwitting advice to raise the Green Hornet's profile. Britt and Kato blow up several of Chudnofsky's meth labs, leaving calling cards so Chudnofsky can contact them. Throughout all this, Daily Sentinel managing editor Mike Axford (Edward James Olmos) fears this single-minded coverage will endanger Britt's life, and District Attorney Frank Scanlon (David Harbour) frets over public perception that he cannot stop the Green Hornet.

Britt asks Lenore out, but she rebuffs him and instead invites Kato to dinner, making Britt jealous. Kato learns from her that mobsters often offer a peace summit to rivals in order to get close enough to kill them; Britt then tells Kato that Chudnofsky has offered them such a meeting. Kato tries dissuading him, but Britt, feeling overshadowed, follows his instincts. This nearly proves fatal when Chudnofsky tries to kill them.

Barely escaping to the mansion, Britt and Kato argue and fight, and Britt fires both Kato and Lenore, whom he believes are in a relationship. Kato receives an email from Chudnofsky on the Hornet's calling-card email address, offering $1 million dollars and half of Los Angeles if he kills Britt. Meanwhile, Britt discovers Scanlon is corrupt, learning that he tried to bribe James into downplaying the level of crime in the city to help his career.

Scanlon invites Britt to meet in a restaurant, where he reveals he murdered Britt's father. Kato arrives, and instead of killing Britt, he attacks Chudnofsky's men, allowing him and Britt, whom Chudnofsky deduces is the real Green Hornet, to escape. They head to the Daily Sentinel, where Britt intends to upload a recording of Scanlon's confession onto the Web — and belatedly discovers he did not manage to record it. Chudnofsky and his men follow the duo there, where a firefight ensues. Kato ultimately stabs Chudnofsky in the eyes in self-defense and Britt shoots him to death. A SWAT team appears and fires at the Green Hornet and Kato, while they use the remains of their nearly demolished Black Beauty to run Scanlon out the 10th-floor window, killing him. The Green Hornet and Kato flee to Lenore's house, where she learns their secret identities and that she has been the accidental mastermind behind the Green Hornet's plots. Despite being furious, she helps them hide from the police and tends to Britt's shoulder gunshot wound.

The next morning, Britt promotes Axford to editor-in-chief and stages being shot in the shoulder by Kato, further establishing the Green Hornet as a threat (and allowing Britt to get treated by professionals in a hospital). Later, the two weld James' stolen bust back onto his memorial statue. Now with Lenore to aid them, Britt and Kato vow to continue protecting the law by breaking it.

Transformers : Dark of the Moon

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the third and final film in the Transformers film series, directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. It is the sequel to Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and is scheduled for release on June 29 (Egypt) and July 01 (US), 2011, in Real D 3D, regular 2D theaters and IMAX.

Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro are set to reprise their starring roles, with Peter Cullen returning as the voice of Optimus Prime. Ehren Kruger, who collaborated in the writing of the second film, was said to be again involved in the writing. Despite having initially been confirmed for the film, and with the film already into principal photography, it was announced that Megan Fox would not be reprising her role from the previous two films. With Fox's character Mikaela being dropped, Sam was assigned a new love interest, who will be played by English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Also, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, having written the first two films, will not return for the third installment in the series, which Orci had earlier somewhat anticipated, fearing the duo would "risk getting stale". Bay has stated this would be his last installment in the series.
The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft on the Moon and must race against the Decepticons to find it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle.

CAST AND CHARACTERS
HUMANS

* Shia LaBeouf plays Sam Witwicky. The leading human character who is friends with the Autobots.
* Rosie Huntington-Whiteley plays Carly, Sam's new love interest from the original 1984 animated series. Huntington-Whiteley had worked with director Michael Bay before in various Victoria's Secret commercials. Other actresses considered for the role included Gemma Arterton, Bar Refaeli, Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker.
* Josh Duhamel plays Major William Lennox. The leader of NEST, an international taskforce battling Decepticons with the Autobots.
* Tyrese Gibson plays Chief Robert Epps. A combat controller and a member of NEST.
* John Turturro plays Agent Seymour Simmons. A former agent of the terminated Sector 7 unit.
* Patrick Dempsey plays Dylan, Carly's boss, who is a race-car driver with a huge collection of cars. Dempsey described his role as "darker" than others and "significant to the plot".[46] Initially cast to play Mikaela's boss, Dempsey's role was reassigned when Mikaela was written out of the film.
* Kevin Dunn and Julie White play Ron and Judy Witwicky, Sam's parents.
* Glenn Morshower plays General Morshower, A NEST member who communicates with the squad in the Pentagon.
* Lester Speight plays Hardcore Eddie. The new NEST Member. He is an experienced soldier who has fought in war along with Epps' father many years ago.
* Alan Tudyk plays Dutch, Agent Simmons' assistant.
* John Malkovich plays Bruce, Sam's first boss.
* Frances McDormand plays Marissa Faireborn[citation needed], Director of National Intelligence.

According to representatives for Paramount, Megan Fox will not appear in the film because Bay ultimately chose not to renew Fox's role, although representatives for the actress said that it was her decision to leave the film franchise. With Fox not reprising her role, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was chosen to play Sam's new love interest. Ken Jeong will have an undisclosed role in the film, and Kym Whitley has declared being involved in the shoots. A casting call for extras for the film has been said to call for actors to play Iranian military men for scenes to be filmed in Los Angeles, and reportedly the Ukrainian army will be involved as well. Glee's Iqbal Theba confirmed on Twitter that he will have a cameo appearance as the secretary-general of the United Nations

AUTOBOTS

* Peter Cullen voices Optimus Prime, the Autobot leader. While he retains his vehicle mode of a blue Peterbilt 379 truck with red flame decals, he has been added a trailer similar to his Generation 1 counterpart, and has been redesigned to look more heroic. Optimus can combine with his trailer and gain a third transformation mode.
* Sentinel Prime, Optimus Prime’s predecessor who turns into a Rosenbauer Panther Airport crash tender fire truck. Sentinel Prime is seen as the Autobot in stasis on the Ark in the teaser trailer.
* Bumblebee, Sam's guardian that turns into a fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro. Bumblebee has also gone through some changes, his vehicle mode featuring a new body kit and paint job, and designers modifying him to look more mature.
* Ironhide, the Autobot weapons specialist who transforms into a GMC Topkick.
* Ratchet, the Autobot medic who transforms into a search and rescue Hummer H2. Ratchet also had some changes done to his vehicle form, as he has been painted green and white.
* Sideswipe, the Autobot whose vehicle mode is a silver Chevrolet Corvette Centennial now upgraded into a convertible.
* An Autobot who will debut as a Ferrari 458 Italia.
* James Avery will provide the voice of Silverbolt.
* The Wreckers, an Autobot sub-team that transform into heavily armed NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chevrolet Impala stock cars equipped with machine guns. They function as a Commando Unit. One of them will be voiced by Bill Fagerbakke. The Wreckers are:
o Leadfoot, a Juan Pablo Montoya #42 Target car.
o Roadbuster, a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. #88 AMP Energy/National Guard car.
o Topspin, a Jimmie Johnson #48 Lowe's/Kobalt car.
* Skids and Mudflap, the twins who now both transform into Chevrolet Sparks, despite Michael Bay's original denial of their return. The Spark is based on the Chevrolet Beat concept, which was Skids' alternate mode in the second film.
* A blue Mercedes-Benz E550 will debut as an Autobot whose design resembles Albert Einstein.
* Wheelie, a blue radio-controlled toy monster truck returns from his debut in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

DECEPTICON

* Megatron, the Decepticon Leader. He has changed his vehicle mode to an armored rusty Mack Titan 10-wheeler tank truck equipped with heavy weaponry.
* Starscream, the air commander who transforms into an F-22 Raptor.
* Soundwave, Megatron's communication officer.
* Shockwave, who transforms into a Cybertronian tank and will act as one of the film's main villains. Corey Burton, who performed Shockwave's voice in all of Shockwave's major animated appearances was offered the role, but he declined it, so David Warner is being considered to voice him.
* A Decepticon has been revealed to turn into a Superfund armored security truck.
* A group of Decepticon clones that turn into Chevrolet Suburban emergency vehicles. One of them is Crankcase

Others

Mark Ryan is also confirmed to be voicing several characters in the film. Tom Kenny, who voiced Wheelie and Skids in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, confirmed that he is returning for Dark of the Moon, but his roles have not been revealed.
